Pittsfield Union Station built in 1914 and shown above in 1954,
boasted arched windows,green veined marble walls,a highdomed
terrazzo ceilling,skylights,chandeliers and polished woodwork.
Neglected for years because of the declining passenger use.
It was demolished in 1968 at right,as part of urban renewal
clearance. The Big Y supermarket now stands in it's place.
